Three Strategies

Begin with a broad UNDERSTANDING that the impact of trauma is widespread and experienced by many of the people we interact with on a daily basis. This will allow a shift in how we navigate our relationships and growing intentional partnerships that will support your work. Stemming from a baseline shared UNDERSTANDING will help us work with others towards similar goals, creating places where people feel safe while nurturing relationships so that healing can be possible.

Really understand Trauma Informed Principles (TIPs) and continue by DEVELOPING strategies and roadmaps that reflect the population you serve. This will include listening to their needs and how they visualize a path towards healing. Take time to listen and co-create along with the people you provide services as well as revisiting the partnerships needed for support.

Align all efforts by IMPLEMENTING the specific checklists you have developed with others using TIPs. These checklists will guide you or your organization on the a path to wellbeing supported by your partners. Celebrate every successful step and notice the barriers that can be preventing other steps to happen. Go back and continue co-creating alternative pathways.
